Before i list my problem just wanted to say this is my 3rd listing and you guys have always helped and fixed all my problems...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] thanks...Okay I have a 2004 eton rxl50 and it start fine and my kids are able to ride it but when u 1st give it gas u hear a clicking/grinding nise coming from the front of the quad (under handle bars by beging of motor). It seems to lost some pep and seems to be getting slower. Also wanted to no if there was any where to buy the front lights for this thing (cheap)...thanks

 

does the noise get louder as you rev the motor?

 

it gets loud when u first give it gas then seems to go away or u i just cant hear it. it seems to get louder on turns if that makes sense

 

you said the engines is getting slower do you have a way to check the compression but it could be a number of thing it could be in the clutch area try to really pin point exacty where the noise is comming from it would make it easier to help you find the problem

 

to me it sounds like it is coming from by the spark plug...if that means anything...I dont know much

 

somtimes the get a wrist pin slap due to being wore out depends on how much it has been rode you could also check to make sure the oiler is working the engine could be starting to lockup its just a quess just somthing to ckeck if that is not it take the jug off and check the cylinder and piston that only take about 15 min to get that off
