Default lt50 info needed

I have a 1984 lt50 and need to know a couple things. What should the ring gap be set at? How far out should I initially set the air/fuel mixture. This thing was mine when I was 5 years old and am fixing it for my nephew. I was taking it apart and cleaning it when I broke the rings. The new ones don't have any info for gap. Thanks for any help!

i'm guessing your talking about piston rings. and the piston has notches in it where the ring opening goes. if i'm not mistaken they should be close to 12 o'clock and somewhere around 3 o'clock. air fuel wise i think i read some people talkin about 2 1/2 turns out but you may want to read the advanced searches yourself. hope this helps. let me know if i can assist in the confusion any more

Thanks so much for the fast reply. Maybe I should be more specific. I was wondering about the gap were the two ends of the piston rings meet, when they are in the cylinder. It is at .006, but I am thinking that is a little too close. I can't find that info anywhere. Thanks again.
