I just bought a Viper 90R but do not know if it is 2 stroke or 4 stroke. I also do not know the year but since it has reverse, it must be a 2005 or 2006 model since Eton just added reverse in 2005. It sounds like a 4 stroke since its quiet. No manual or anything came with it. I got it from a pawn shop for $470 and think I got a good deal. Also, I do not know where the cdi limiter is to set for when I son gets it for Christmas.
Here are some pictures of it so maybe someone can help me.

Wow thats a really good price!....Look for an oil tank under the seat...This will be for the two stroke injection oil..Also the two stroke will have a black plastic cover one each side of the engine/trans where the 4 stroke has metal covers...It's likely a two stroke(they are quiet as well)

Thanks for the info. There is no oil tank under the seat. I included pictures of the engine on each side and even under the seat on my web page of pictures. The only place I see for oil is at the bottom on one side of the engine which I assume is the engine oil. The left side of the engine where the kick start goes is all metal. It has Eton stamped into the metal. The right side has some plastic covers. I am almost betting its a 4-stroke.
