Should I buy Chinese synthetic Oil or Japanese dino Oil??

I may get into trouble for wasting Bandwidth on a dopey post, but oh well.....nothing stirs the pot like a good old oil debate....

Should I buy Chinese synthetic Oil or Japanese dino Oil??
Well it depends on the application. Me being a master certified mechanic can tell you that synthetic oil is far superior over regular dyno oil. BUT if you change your oil on a regular basis dino oil is just fine and will protect just as good. Its the higher heat, higher performance, lazy maintenance applications that synthetic oil protects alot better because it does not break down, gel or burn like regular oil. I do not recommend using synthetic oil in older vehicles because all kinds of problems can happen.

I also heard you shouldn't switch them back and forth, if you are going to use one type stick to it, otherwise you may have a handful of engine problems down the road. (Something I heard, don't quote me on it [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Thats an old myth. Back when synthetic oils first came out they were not compatible with each other but now regular oils are so much better and you also have semi synthetic it will not hurt to switch. Some people even mix like 1-2 qts of synthetic with 2-3 qts of dino.
