Default TRX90 over China

Thanks for all the info on this site about the mini quads.

After looking at several of the China made quads and reading just one complaint after another on here I deiced to take my money and buy a used 2002 TRX90 for a $1000.00
I think the money will be better spent on a used Honda than a new China one that will be a lawn ornament in a short period of time.
Then when it is time to get him a bigger quad I will be able to get good money out of it unlike the no name brands.
The other thing that made that decision is when we go out of town to ride and need a part there is a Honda shop just about everywhere.

You are a smart man. I do this too. My kids have been riding pretty much free for the last few years as I almost always get to sell them for close to what I paid.

Even though I may not agree with you about all the China quads, congratulations on your purchase Harw!

All great reasons to buy a quality used unit. If you can find an '02 for a grand, go for it! You aren't going to get all the latest and greatest safety features, but those little guys run forever(as you well know with an ATC70) and the frames are almost as durable as the engines.

Its pretty hard to go wrong with a used Honda. Especially at that price.

You'll never be able to prove that. Since the Chinese quads have not been out near that long. We will see in ten years.

Unfortunately there are a lot of chinese quads proving it already.

In my experience( with my son racing and trail riding in the desert)
pushing some of these quads ( Chinese) don't hold up to constant use
but that's my experience
some people may ride 2 or 3 times a year
and otheres may run there bikes every weekend
the b ikes I have come across at races and the desert that were of Chinese decent have had many problems
also how many times have you heard that a new trx 90 has problems
just my perspective

Yes agreed, there are those China quads out there that just truly stink. But you can't put all the China quads together in the same group. They are not ALL unreliable.
