110CC KAZUMA FALCON POWER OUTPUT
#1
I have two of these quads (2005) for my kids. So far so good. I would like to reduce the top end power and increase the low end torque. My initial plan is to replace the driven sprocket with more teeth and a larger pitch diameter. Can anyone suggest the best retrofit required? Also if you know where to purchase the upgrade items that would be great. Any suggestions are highly appreciated! Thank you!

You cant change the pitch but you can increase the size. The pitch has to be the same as the front sprocket or the chain will not fit right. The pitch is determined on what chain size you use. Most are 420 or 428. So if you want to increase the low end say you have a 32t 420 rear you want to go with a 36t 420 sprocket. Every 2 teeth on the rear equals 1 tooth on the front. If you go larger on the rear you may have to get a longer chain. If you decrease the front by 2 teeth you wont need a chain and it will be like adding 4 teeth to the rear. Count the teeth from the front. I think it is 17. I think you can use a sprocket from a meerkat which is 15t. I changed the sprockets from out meerkat 50 to out roketta 90. The rokatta had lots of top end but no low end. The meerkat was a semi auto and 1-2 gear was too low so I swapped both sprockets and it gave the 90 much more bottom end while the meerkat raised the low end. It was a perfect swap. The cranks on most of these are the same so all you have to do is figure out what sprockets are on what bikes. If you can figure out what your bike has then call John @ Raceway to see what he has to match.
