Default Question on Kazuma 90cc motor

Does anyone know if this motor shares the same gearbox as the 50cc motor? The reason I ask is that I'd like to see if our 90cc atv can be operated with gears like the 50cc atv from Kazuma. Even though the specs claim its a CVT, the 90 seems to simply be locked in one gear. Could this be the case? If so, is there any way to "unlock" this, add a gear lever and have the four speeds like the 50? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Darren.

You are right. It is a fixed gear and you can not make it a semi automatic. If you want to gear it down to have better bottom end then you need to change the sprockets. You can also look on ebay for a semi auto motor or just buy another one and sell this one. Most people change the gears to have better bottom end but still have good top end speed.

Default Question on Kazuma 90cc motor

Thanks. The motor seems to have enough low end power but it can't be good for the engine to run the high rpms all the time once he gets going. I've seen the motors on ebay to replace this one but they don't have electric start and the kick start would hit the fender. Where else can I look to get a motor like this with gears. Thanks, Darren.
