I know it's wrong.....but I did it anyway.

I gutted the stock muffler on the Redcat and welded the end cap back on. I know it was wrong to do so, especially to the people who will come on here and say shame on me for taking out the spark arrestor. All I know is it opened up a little more bottom end power and it sounds nice. Not loud by any means, but throaty. It's now about as load as my Ozark running stock exhaust. Between the UNI filter and gutting the muffler, it woke the machine up noticeably. Has anyone else ever gutted their stock Chinese muffler? And yes, I know I will most likely have to rejet. I am going to check the plug after a short ride and see what it tells me.

I hollowed out the desert cat's, but never ran it cause I got an aftermarket. Trouble is the bike had alot more low end power with the stock pipe. 2-strokes are funny that way(hard to tune the exhaust)
you are prolly on the right track with yours being a 4-smoke......just watch the DB's
