Default Suggestion on convincing the wife

I agree 100% WAATV and WhoDatinDaMud. Supervision is absolutely critical, and so is sizing. Plus, we need to be good role models. If we drive like maniacs, they will.

I also very much appreciate the data from accidents you guys have supplied. It is very hard to convince many people without hard evidence.

Default Suggestion on convincing the wife

my son is 6 and i let him ride forest (groomed) trails with me, and sometimes my wife will ride along. as far as convincing the wify, thats on you!!!! i have a hard enough time with my own!!!lol!! he must always wear helmet and gloves ect.(thats a given.) he has wrecked 2 or 3 times and everytime he cried a little and got right back on. the point im trying to make is that things will happen, just limit the amount of damage possible. he loves riding in this snow we got too. hes been pulling hi lil bro around in a sled! good luck with wify!

Default Suggestion on convincing the wife

convincing people to change their minds or opinions on things is a hard task...first off..i think that if more familys and kids were involved in atving then there would probably be less time for them to be involved in other stupid stuff like gangs and drugs!! Secondly... i believe that we must stress safety to our kids when atving and concentrate on being good role models for them on and off our machines. Last thought... life is a gamble..every day we take some sort of risk, no matter how small , it is up to us as parents and grown ups to guide the younger ones through this with lessons we have learned and advice that will reduce their risks. Will atving ever be 100% safe???..No...but its up to us to show our kids that riding sensibly and by the law should preserve this activity we love for our kids to have a chance to teach thier kids the same rules. Not great wisdom,..just my thoughts!
