question on a sunl machine
#1
I know they are junk but I have someone that wants a trade my item is worth about 250.00.The sunl is new but he say it does not have a charging system and it came with a charger.Has anyone seen this before look at this as a backup or something the kids friends to ride.If some has one like this how long does it go between charges. We have a falcon 110 and they love it and have put it to the test I know the honda motor.

If it is in fact new and I mean one of the new 2006-7 models (with the reinforced
frames that don't break), I'd go for the trade. Which model is it and size engine?
Those do in fact have a charging system. The problem is that the remote
control and parental/alarm system draw too much current if left on overnite
and run the battery down.
On the remote control....press the key that looks like the "unlocked" lock.
That turns the alarm off. Even so they usually won't stay charged more
than a week. The stock batteries aren't very good. I've seen some of
those with bad rectifiers or the rectifier plug was not in very good.
Also the chargers are junk....better off to get a cheap trickle charger
to replace it.

Some of the sunl quads are not that bad. Parts are easy to get also except from sunl. I have had a few sunl quads with no issues at all. Like bigric said they do have a charging system and the reason why they give you the trickle charger is to keep the battery from going dead while sitting. The alarm should be disconnected if you get it then it will hold a charge fine. I think for 250 its a great deal.

We've had a sunl 70 over a year and it runs like a top - after I got the kinks worked out. It has really been used - many hours - and many hours of adult riding too - just for kicks. It's been through water, mud - the works. The alarm/remote still works too (I relocated it slightly and sealed it good). The only problem with it is cosmetic - the blue/artic camo paint has faded badly.

Does anyone know of a way you can extend the rear axel on the SUNL 110 and to what point you can modify this little quad? My boy has ridden it one time (brand new) he is small and it sits high and narrow. Im a moto x guy and am not real sure about how safe this thing is. I screwed the throttle govenor in to keep the speed down and my boy pushed the throttle past the Gov. bolt and it stuck wide open! He was able to bail befor the quad slammed into a huge rock. No damage to the quad and kid, but a nerved out dad for sure.
