Default 2001 90cc dinli?

just looking for some input on a little 90cc youth quad I am considering purchasing. It is a 2001, looks like THIS ONE, manufactured by Dinli, although I am told it is some other brand. I am assuming it's just a rebadged Dinli though. The dealer called his old distributor where he originally got the ATV from and they say they have parts for it still, with the exception of matching colored plastics. I'm sure someone here has, or has had one of these. Are they durable? Any performance parts for them? The quad started right up and the guy drove it around the lot, thing ran great and surprisingly quick for a little 90.

I'm assuming your somewhat familiar with the Dinli name. (There one of the few names that races at the Jr. level, Cobra is the #1 and very expensive). You didn't say how much they want for it; any mods, at what level of riding is your youngster at ?

They want $1200 for it, but I'm sure I can get it for $1000, which seems a little more reasonable to me. No mods, good tires, good motor, no cracks in plastic. Overall it's in very good shape, I'm really just trying to find out if it is worth it to spend $1000 on a 2001, or get one of these other off-brand quads that are in the $800 range. The reason I am considering the Dinli is because parts are available for it, and since it's an 01 and still kickin' it must be pretty durable, but looking for input from others who own this particular quad.

I'd say buy it! It's a good deal.
Plenty of mods and parts available.

It sounds like a good deal; if this is going to keep your kid happy for a couple of years go for it. When they're ready to move on you'll still get most your money back from someone. My youngest daughters bike (she's 12, been riding for three years) is an Apex 100cc Pro MX. Kick butt little bike, but it is a two stroke, has to run on minimum 100 octane and will set you back $3500.00.... Don't know the age of your youngster, but if there in the 7-11 range and would be happy with that level of performance for $1K ? I would be all over it (Easy Decision)..

Have fun and ride safe..

Well I went ahead and bought it. Oh, just some FYI, it was for my lil bro, who is 6. We took it out today, and he loved it. He does have a problem with the brakes being on the handlebars though, do any of you know of a smaller lever that will fit a young kids hands a little better, or maybe even a different perch that would bring the lever in closer? The quad ran great all day after the initial start-up. It's a little cold blooded first thing in the morning, but starts up no prob after that. He did have a little run in with the bumper of my Jeep and broke the front fender, but I expected something like that to happen. At least it was the quad and not him! Oh, I am also a little curious if there is a kit to eliminate the oil injection system, I've never trusted those. Thanks to all.
