If you are looking for post sale support, I would avoid VIVA Motors aka Pocket Bikes aka ATVS Imports and ATV Wholesale. Lot of their stuff is the same low quality junk that SUNL and Roketa imports. Viva is also known for not being very responsive or having parts.

http://www.atvsimports.com is a scumbag ripoff company. Check their BBB record.
This company goes by many names.

ISPEP.....spend some time on http://craigslist.org/ and find you a good used Japanese or Taiwanese ATV. You'll be much happier in the long run. Most of the Chinese stuff is low quality JUNK with little to no after the sale support. If you do go Chinese, at least buy a Jetmoto or Shinima.

Read through this forum a bit. You'll find that there are plenty of us who have done business with online retailers of ChinQuads and are satisfied customers.

Those who are outspoken critics of these machines and sellers fall into three groups:

1. those who have never actually bought or rode one
2. those who want $4000 worth of machine/support/service/experience for $1200, and then complain when they have a minor problem or if they have to get their hands dirty
3. those who have legitimate gripes

The third group is by far the smallest.

XavierOnasis are you telling me that these VIVA'a and Roketa's are worth the money and that all I will have to do is put a little work into them but not alot of money? and thanx for the help it means alot to me and my family.

BigRic I went to the site that you gave to me and though it's very helpful I live a far ways away from S.F so I would end up spending alot of money to eather #1 drive out there to pick them up or #2 spend alot to have them shiped to me but I do thank you very much for your feed back and the help that you offer thank you so much.

I live in north eastern Pa 15 miles from the Elmira NY state boarder so if anyone knows any place to get some decent atv's or dirt bikes close to that area I would love to hear from you.

Again thank all of you for all the support and help that you are giving to me and my family.

Ispep,

BigRic is right, if you want the best serbice and reliability Jetmoto (Raceway or KidATVS) or Shinima.com.
They are a little higher in price, but a lot higher in quality and esp. service

I shouldn't talk about a Viva or Roketa, because I have no experience with either.

I am telling you that the answer to your question "Is there any wholesale atvs and dirtbike dealers out there that you know of that are not rip offs?" is ... of course there are.

Although I don't have a Viva or a Roketa I do have 2 Chinese machines and I could kindasorta answer that quesiton, too, because the differences between brand names of Chinese quads are minor. The reason for this is that many of these places aren't really "manufacturers" in the sense that they fabricate each part of their product. They assemble machines using components from common sources, then attach their own names. That's why 2 machines w/different names can appear to be identical, and concieveably could be identical. Most likely, though, they share major components and differ in the peripherals.

After a while you'll notice there are only 2 or 3 different frames, engines, and sets of body plastics. All the other parts show a bit more variation, kinda mix-n-match. It's like if you and five of your buddies decided to each build an RC racer from the components available in one catalog. You'll choose many of the the same parts, but not all.

Are there similarities? Lots. Are there differences? Yes.

BTW: the lil' Chinese engines are proving to be damn tough.

So a big part of the customer's experience comes down to the seller. There WILL BE shipping damage, there WILL BE missing parts, there WILL BE machines with problems. This is beyond the seller's control. What sets various sellers apart is how they respond to the issues. Of course, there are sellers who have earned good reputations and some who are quite the opposite.

I do own 2 ChinQuads, and your description "all I will have to do is put a little work into them but not alot of money" is exactly right - IF you aren't onea those guys in category #2 above who demands to pay $1200 and get the $4000 overall experience. THIS is the MOST IMPORTANT part.

I resisited jumping in with specific names, but you did ask and I guess it is only right to give credit where credit is due. I bought one from www.motorxtremes.com. The experience was satisfactory enough that I went back for another. I'm not the only satisfied customer they have on this forum.

Whiskers bought one from Anam Cycles. He was pleased enought that he bought from them a second time. He's not thier only satisfied customer here.

There are many members of this board who are satisfied repeat customers of RacewayATV, and they praise not only the product but also the caring, committed support they have recieved form John.

So there are three sellers by name who have earned kudos. I'm sure there are more.

I did an extensive review for everyone here of my total experience with seller and machine. You can read it at :

http://users.wildblue.net/thearbees/nado/PD.htm

The report includes lots of very specific pics and a little humor to boot. It'll take 15-20 minutes to read the whole thing.
