Default cdi box on a Raptor 50

My friend gave me a Procom cdi box for a Raptor 80. Can I put this on the 50?

Do you know which wires or is there anywhere I can get diagrams for both? I would rather do this since I'm getting this for nothing!

I can provide the pdf pages but you need to send me a private message with your email or just post it if your not worried about giving it out so I can send them (I don't see a way to attach files here). I have the 80 electrical on hand but the 50 electrical is at home so it will come later.

Will I need to get a harness for the 80 or can I some how modify the harness from the 50?

the harness from the 80 would be best (would allow you to make the CDI easily removable) but you can cut the wires at the 50 connectors and the 80 CDI connectors and then splice the correct ones back together (hardwire it in). have you also done the carb. slider and throttle change ?

Before winter I did the carb slide and throttle mods. It helped a little but it didn't shift into drive right and sounded like it needed some adjustment. By putting in this cdi I figured it would help a lot. Will I need to rejet the carb by doing all of this? My next thing will be spacers and tires. Maybe a new filter.

change the main jet to a #80. make sure you adjust the idle/air and idle speed after the jet and slider change (you may have stalling problems when you put it in gear if you don't). I added ITP tires and rims and wheel spacers to my sons 80. the thing rides and handles much better. my daughters
50 with the 80 stock tires on it, procom 50 CDI and carb changes does 25mph. I suspect with the 80 CDI it will be slightly higher. if your looking for a little more power off the line I have read that people are removing 8 of the 12 ***** from the clutch basket. allows the engine to rev higher before the clutch engages.

Thanks for all of the info! If I get this thing running right I might do the clutch mod. When you get a chance later please send me that wiring diagram for the 50. I can't wait until the snow melts so I can see the smile on my sons face!
