Brakes locked up on mini-ute 110
#1
I had to get the tire fixed yesterday so I locked the breaks to keep it still.
After completion I unlocked them(popped the pin up) . My son went to ride today and the breaks were locked up. I worked the breaks quite a few time and nothing changed. I tried relocking and unlocking the "pin" in the break grip and nothing changed.
Can anyone give me some ideas to get them unlocked?
thanks.

This has the single disk brake in the rear?
If so, open the bleeder screw on the rear brake assbly. This should relieve the pressure. You may want to go ahead and replace the brake fluid by adding at the handle bar and pumping it thru - in case a piece of debris has caused the prob.
You know how to bleed disk brakes, right? Apply press via the brake lever, open the bleeder screw to relieve the press, close the bleeder screw before you let off of the brake lever and repeat. Keep adding brake fluid to the reservoir.
Also, look and see if everything is ok at the brake lever/master cylinder area.

that fixed it. It has never been as "easy" to break as I thought it should be. There were some small pieces of debris in the drained fluid.
I filled it back up and it is easy enough to brake, plus they work better than ever.
