Having problems with turns on my Kazuma 50
Hi folks,
Was looking for a little insight. I have a Kazuma Meerkat (50cc) for my 6 year old and recently installed wheel spacers on the front and back (these are the bolt extender types not the full plate that Raceway sells). The biggest thing that I notice is that when I turn the bars all the way left or right, the wheels will now rub against the foot covers and actually stop turning (worst turning right than left). Also I notice that when this happens, the Kazuma tends to push the ATV forward rather than actually allowing the front wheels to grip and actually turn the ATV. As a result, u-turns on a road actually takes the entire 2 lanes since you spend more time going straight-ish instead of turning the ATV. Has anyone had this issue at all where the front end just doesn't seem heavy enuff for the tires to actually grip and turn or is this a direct result of the spacers.
I don't want to take the front spacers off as I don't like the idea of a narrower front vs back end. However I will if this turning continues to be a problem. I will definitely state that the ATV is much more stable with the extra 3" but this turning issue has me concerned since the ATV is not going where it;s pointed. Also is there a way to either limit the turn radius or modifying the foot cover to let the wheel turn more free? Thanks!

You have two options form what I can tell. You could notch out those plastic footwells for a little more clearance. I would just remove the front spacers. You will still have turning stability with just having the rear ones on. They will help to keep you planted on the ground.

Is it 3" per side or 1.5 per side. Most times you cant put spacers on the front of the quad because of this problem. I put spacers on the rear and it made a huge difference. It was still very stable. I think you will be fine with just the rear because thats what most do anyways.
