Lets help Chabat out. Chabat you need to sell that atv for scrap. For public saftey Please don't sell it and harm another child. Sunl atvs are crap and anybody on here that has done any research knows it. Letting your child ride a Sunl should get you put in jail for child endangerment.</end quote></div>

You think this is helpful? Ummm, okay. Thank you for your opinion. I respect your opinion that these machines are not near the japanese bikes in build quality. I knew that going in. However, Your comment about child endangerment, I do not respect that comment. It is a flame and serves no purpose.

I posted this just to put out information about this particular quad and my experience with it. My purpose was to provide information to others who may be looking at this quad. Now I am starting to feel like some of the members here only want to flame the chinese product/sunL. Everyone Knows that SUNL's are not as good as a Japanese bike, so why go on about how you think they suck? I don't understand the attitude of needing to say it? Was my thread titled: Should I buy a SunL? Nope. My attitude on these forums is this: If someone asked me about any of the bikes I have owned, I would gladly share my experience with them, without insulting them for what they bought. What purpose would it serve? There just isn't a need to be abrasive.

If you want to say that the chinese quads are inferior to japanese quads, I agree, no argument. If you want to say parts are harder to come by, I would somewhat agree. That is fine with me if you say that. But If you are just here to tell me I bought junk, to scrap it, and I am a bad parent, then kindly keep those thoughts to yourself. I did not ask anyone for those type opinions. You can grind that axe elsewhere.

I just thought this was a friendly place where information about ATV's could be exchanged to help each other out. Was I wrong?

I would never insult anyone for their purchase, however, there are MANY of you in these forums that are rather new to the site and dont really know and understand the YEARS of frustrations that buyers of Sun-L products have been thru and the MANY years of negative comments made against this Sun-L company and the way they do business..At one time, there was even a WEB SITE called SUNLSUCKS.COM and it was PACKED with customers who had been taken by Sun-L.

Sun-l does not care a lick about service AFTER the sale, not do they care about getting PARTS for their buyers. We have PROVED this in these very forums for YEARS now..

Im not knocking all chinese ATVs, just SOME of the companies that we KNOW have been bad in the past. Its going to take YEARS for Sun-L to clean-up their bad reputation, now would be a good time to START!

Muddy, I hear what you are saying. And I appreciate your information. I just was offended by the poster saying I should be in jail for buying one. I feel that is an unnecessary comment.

Chabat, your not wrong, I truely didn't mean to unsult you, and I'm sorry it came out that way. I'm not real happy with Sunl as you can tell and devastator85 hit a nerve definding them. I will not let my children ride the sunl, and hope and pray yours will be ok when the atv comes apart at 40mph.

You can just unplug the pull switch, there is a plug up. I also had trouble with the battery until i unplugged the tail light and took the fuse out of the remote and or Alarm. The engine on these also likes to flex so watch for broken motor mount bolts. when you get the manifold bolt from coming loose, watch out for the exhaust they like to break in the middle and dump exhaust on your leg.

I was in no way defending SUNl. I do not own a sunl, and have nothing to do with it. ChaBat was saying how much fun his kids were having on the atv and he seemed proud of his atv. I am a parent of 2 and my daughter has a meercat 50 and I have a lt250r and a blaster and a china atv made by shineray. I like shineray, mabey you do not. I like suzuki, mabey you do not. mabey he and his kids like sunl. you are calling a new atv he just bought for his kids a junk. you do not find that a offensive comment. Mabey even his kids are reading this as we speak, they must feel real good about now. advice and being a jerk is a little different, don't you think? comparing a china atv to a japan atv we all know is like comparing a cavlier to a italian sportscar! He was simply talking about parts and loctight on some bolts. And accidents are just that. That is why they are called accidents. all atvs are going to break, no matter what brand. I think you who read my reply had better read it again, where do I defend sunl? I have had bad luck with kawasaki, I guess I should say there all kawasuckie then. I am sure by saying that that nobody here will be offended, RIGHT?

And jerryolip, just where in my reply am I rude or critisize anyone? And where do I defend Sunl. Didn't I say people posted here for help 1st? Isn't that just a repeat of what I just said. And just how old is your son doing 40mph in your drivway? Seams a little fast for a child. Nobody here questioned your parent skills, I keep my daughter's quad throttle goverened, but thats just me. I think you should Read before you write Mudd and jerryolip, you are the ones embarrassing yourself. And I think people can already tell you do not care if they like your post or not. China atvs change so fast every year and all are always improving quickly. And I think you should reread the replys. Just how was it not to be considered an insult. I see it wrote no other way. You sound like a dealer to me looking to plug a brand.

A lot has been said. I understand you guys were not really trying to make a personal attack on me. Some of you just have strong feelings about SunL. There are more diplomatic ways to get your point across. But that is okay... I am over it and understand where you are coming from. I just made this thread to record my experience with the 2007 SunL Typhoon 110, in case anyone else was looking at one, at least they could read what another fellow had to say about it. That is all I was trying to accomplish...

We have a SunL 110 mini that my 5 year old loves... its only got about 20 hours on it, and no problems so far besides a fouled plug that I replaced with an NGK. I did build some wheel spacers to widen the stance and make it more stable, and I have screwed the throttle governor to the stops. We cruise the trails at 10 - 15 mph and it runs quite well. In my opinion,it is too fast for how its built (it'll haul my 225 lbs around at a pretty good clip on level ground), but throttled down, and with a little respect, it is just fine for the money. As far as bolts vibrating loose, the "dealer" I bought it from double nutted and/or lock washered everything, and pointed out a few key bolts to watch. Oh yeah... the battery hasn't needed charging yet (6 or 8 weeks).

Overall, I would rather have a Japanese atv.. but at around $2k, they are a little out of reach... (I looked around for a used model, but did not see one for sale in the 3 months I was watching).
