knocking PING from komotor 250 4 stroke

i have a PING knocking sound. not a deep knocking sound. its alittle high pitch. comming from the top of the head. u can hear the ping pretyt mcuh every stroke. its not loud but its not quite. what can it be?

Sounds like the valves are a little loose ..My HI_Bird 250 does the same thing.

so how do i fix the problem if the valves are loose? do i have to take apart the motor?
