Eagle 110cc HELP
#1
I bought an eagle 110 for my 8yr old son. he has ridden it a few times...(approx 6 hours on the quad)
things i need help with
1: after about 2 hours i noticed the chain was way out of adjustment...the only way to reall access the goofy chain adjuster set-up was to nose the quad on the front bumper...after i got the chain adjusted i noticed it was smoking..blue smoke ALOT. if i put my hand near the muffler outlet it would actually spray oil out onto my hand. i figured maybe the oil settled in the engine somehwere it shouldnt have because i had it nosed up. I had him ride it around for about an hour and the smoke cleared up....for the most part. the other night we were putting the uads up and it was dark, he pulled in the shed first, and i pulled my z400 in behind him, i had my headlight on and noticed in the light it was still smoking from the exhaust. (this has been about 3 hours of ride time since it had the chain adjusted)...is this something i should be overly conserned about...i keep an eye on the oil level and it doesnt seem to go down at all..its still right on the money.
2: starting: if its 95 degrees out i have to choke the carb and crank on it for a good 30-40 seconds while fiddling with the thrttle. i KNOW this isnt right...any suggestions on carb settings?
3: power: my youngest son has a kazuma 50, off the line the kazuma has more power than the 110 eagle. if you get on the eagle (warmed up) and stab the throttle to the bars...it has this terrible BBBOOOOGGGIING and doesnt seem to have any power till it hits the midrange rpm's. if he has to start out on a hill, say like on a trail...it just has no go to it, sometimes i have to stop and get off my quad to help him get it over a 4" diameter downed tree. a 110 should have more than enough power to get itself and a 50lb kid over a small stick. i know this is a carb adjustment..but once again...i dont know where to start.
any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
Jeremy
