Hmmm, its funny that you mention it. you have a spacer and a boss that slides into the variator. You have to keep the boss in order for the variator to seat properly. I know they make variator kits with a boss thats thinner than the original, but you would have to buy the whole kit. Otherwise , the variator would be loose fitting on the boss.As for the CDI, well thats a mystery. Im gonna try a an old Honda CDI(SINCE KYMCO FOLLOWS OLD HONDA WAYS). I had a guy off ebay email me some wiring diagrams of old Honda's . Dude was totally cool, gave them up for free!!!! So, If you have a total of 4 wires going into your 4-stroke CDI box thats made buy Kymco(ARCTIC CAT , KAWASAKI, ETC.) I will have an answer (hopefully a soluition) by the mid month of SEPT.07 . probably sooner
