no , if the engine uses a cdi ignition then the cdi unit controls the timing

but my dad said you could cind of manual time it i dont no tho that what my dad said thanks

my son has a lt80 2 stroke.and yes i can adjust the timing on it. i do so by loosening the stater plate and turning it one way or the other. it has elongated holes. good luck
