darryl,

Chances are very good that the carb. is overflowing due to the needle valve sticking open. Most often when this happens, it is the result of debris getting between the needle valve and the seat- preventing it from completely closing off the fuel flow to the bowl. With it not closing fully, gas continues to rush into the carb. causing it to overflow out of the overflow tube.

What you need to do is:
1. drain the carb
2. remove the carb for ease of access (optional)
3. remove the float bowl
4. remove the floats and needle valve by pulling the hinge pin out of the float (careful not to lose anything and note how it goes back together)
5. inspect needle valve and seat for debris and clean as needed
6. reassemble

HTH,
Steve

Is it it your drain tube? The tube that extends down from the carb? your drain **** screw is probably stripped. Also , if the needle sticks , good chance fuel in your air filter box .
