I have a 1997 lt 80 that I am wanting to turn into a drag race atv. I bought it from a guy that had his son tt racing it. It is pretty fast but will not leave at all. I would like to do a full engine build and would like some help before I spend the $$$'s. I have no clue what has been done to it other than the dg pipe that I can see. If anybody can help it would be very appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

Welcome to the forums.
I'm sure I can help.
I have LT80's turning 7.2 seconds in 300ft.
If it has a DG pipe on it, he wasn't that serious of a racer as there are better performing pipes out there.
To tell what's been done, I'd need pics of alot of parts.

Well I dont think they will help, but I dont know how hacked up my parts are inside. This bike was set up some time back and I am sure there is alot better parts and technology now. I am looking for crank, cyl, head, carb and clutch work. I really need this thing to leave hard of the line. This is where the are killing us. Thanks for the help
