I have a 250 gio utility quad,is there any way to make the thing ride better than to lower the tire pressure, this thing rides so rough that it hurts!!!Also I put some gear oil in therear diff because i wasnt sure how much was in there, and isnt the engine and trans joined together and use the same oil?Anybody with some info?

Yeah, the giovanni quads aren't the smoothest ride, that's for sure. I have the 150cc "raptor" copy with the gy6 engine. The powertrain seems quite good, but there are cheap parts on it and the suspension is quite crappy. Originally, I bought it with the tire pressure much too high (10 psi). It sure took off quickly that way, but the ride was so rough. First, I lowered the tire pressure to about 4 psi. Next, I adjusted the shocks to their second softest setting. Now, it feels quite a bit smoother, but it's close to bottoming out sometimes. If you are heavier, you won't want to adjust your shocks so soft (I'm only about 140 lbs).

Probably, the only way you'll get a really smooth ride is to completely change the suspension. Otherwise, have fun, but it'll be a little bumpy, hehe.

As far as I know there is no adjustment on the shocks at least I cant see anything that looks like an adjustment, the engine is air cooled,I was thinking about putting some aftermarket shocks on the front of it.
