My son rides a 2006 Honda trx90, and the problem we are having is that when my son goes from idle to full throttle the engine stalls. Sometimes the engine stalls so much that it dies. If he goes from a slight or half throttle to full throttle the bike performs properly. The bike is stock except for a new k&n air filter and pre-charger. Any help is appreciated.

 

Try adjusting the AIR/FUEL mixture screw on the carb.

 

Do you think I am getting to much air with the new k&n I put on?

 

Probablly, then again , was it doing it before you put the new filter on? Put the old one back on and see what happens. I would think there is alot more air than fuel. Its easy to get it right if you jack up the rear of the bike. Turn the air/fuel mixture in (clockwise) 1/4-1/2 of a turn(richen) and see what happens.

 

I will try that because it was doing it with the old air filter, i'll let you know and thanks for the help.
