Default I need some help? my 200cc wont start

I went to start my 200cc star atv today and it wounld'nt start at all. i kept tryin and trying. i cleaned the plug and checked the gap but still no luck, so i thought it was gettin no spark but then finally cranking many times it started up and ran for about 5 mins then just died and wouldnt start at all again. i checked the plug and it was super black which means it was probably runnig rich. but it wont start at all now. i got the carb set to 2 turns out on the air and idle screw. any help? thanks alot

try a new plug cleaning a fouled plug doesnt work to good if you got good spark try a little starting fluid and see if it pops you might need to adjust the valves.

Try cleaning your air filter, bet it's really dirty and clogged!

it could just be flodded and fould the plug. Start with a fresh spark plug (new one)
The old plug coupld be wet/fouled from tryin to start it with the choke....

Shut the fuel off and drain the carb via the drain screw on the float bowl.
removed the old spark plug and crank it over several times with.
Install the new spark plug
Turn on the fuel, wait 10-15 seconds and try starting it with out the choke. If it does not fire choke it.

so it sat over night and i came out this morning to start it up and first thing it starts right up. so i let it warm up for a while and went out for a ride with it. it ran fine untill about 10mins after it died. and it wont start up again. i think its something with the carb float becasue i had to ajust it since gas was dripping out of the vent hose. ever since it hasnt ran real good. what is the corrent height on the float for these atvs? thanks i set mine to 16mm.

Usually level with the carb body
was the float level incorrect when fuel was dripping out? if it seemed ok then maybe the float valve needs to be replaced.

from there if the bike is too lean at 1/4 throttle lower the float heigh 1mm. if it's too rich at 1/4 throttle riase it 1mm

Check that the gas cap is venting, if it's not it will stop gas from entering the carb. My 150 had this problem!
