Suzuki LT 50
#1
Just recently bought my son a LT 50. Looked ok when I purchased it, but when I got home and removed the rear fender I noticed that the rear fender supporters attatched to the footrest had been removed. I was wondering if anyone has built or bought a footrest who reaches from the front fender all the way to the back fender? I bought it as a 2004 model and upon close inspection i find it to be highly unlikely, is it possible to see from the frame serial number when it was built?
Last but not least, does anyone have a service manual or a workshop manual for this machine, as always it could be best if it would bee free.
Thanks in advance. Jóhann

You will only find 3 eras of the Suzuki 50. I believe the first ones were back in the late 80's, very small, obvious old style characteristics. I believe these only came in red. Zuki then re-introduced the LT50 in 2002 which is mostly what you see out there now. 2-stroke, only available in yellow or red, unless you bought a Kawasaki 50 which is a Suzuki 50 dressed in green. Then in 07 they introduced the LTZ50 which is now 4-stroke, sleek looking pointy plastic, I hear its a slug.
All of the above are absolute slugs from the factory! Even with the restrictors removed & throttle opened up, they are pathetic. I have a 2003 LT50 that we did a little work to -- WOW. very impressive. It is my 7yr old daughters bike, but my 11yr old son can get this thing doin a donut. About $100 in work transformed this thing into a nice ridable miniquad for a smaller or beginner rider....
