I bought my daughters some atvs. my youngest daughter has a hard time reaching the brake lever (she can but not as easy as I'd like). Do anyone know where I could find some levers that are made for smaller kids or come in toward the grip more??

any info is appreciated!

You can heat up the one you have and bend it in. Take it off and put it in a vise, and heat it up with a torch. Get it really hot before you start bending.

 

if its a single cable you can prob make a bicycle brake lever and perch work

 

good ideas guys thanks. I had thought about the heat but wasn't sure it it would work or not.

 

Take a look in my pictures and you will see a very simple little modification I did to our viper..It's just a piece of metal that holds the lever closer to the bar.I just had to loosen the brake cable adjustment so the brakes weren't dragging and readjust...The nice part is its totally reversible so you can just remove the bracket once they get bigger.

 

We just put a large zip-tie between the lever and perch, right around the cable. Re-adjust brake cable as necessary.
