China Engines
#1
Maybe we need to put our minds together and figure out what clones the engines are..Etc the vbike 250 what is a it a clone of a Honda or Yamaha. I did notice the 110cc engine on China bikes look like they are a Honda clone to the T. So any input would be helpful for all of us with China ATV'S. This would be good for all of us when getting part instead of waiting forever just got to the local shop and buy. Or maybe even performance bolt ons.

While I was shopping for the clutch for my Loncine 110 I called the local Honda dealer and was told they didn't stock the parts and not sure if they could order them. Said they quit making the 110 honda in 1985.

Ok, we all want to know the answers to these questions. Here are my experiences. The engines in the models up to 125s are honda clones from as far back as 1970. My 1971 Honda CT70 had the same engine. The transmission configurations are different as some have manual and some have auto clutches. Some are four speeds and some are three. The parts should interchange as long as you find a model with the same shafts sizes and gear patterns. I recently needed a countersprocket for a V-Bike 250. The shaft size was consistent with the mid 80's model Honda TRX. Since the 110 engine was made for Honda three wheelers (ATC's) in the mid 80's, I suspect this is where the plans bought by the Chinese companies came from. Honda probably didn't sell the plans for the same engines they are currently using, but an older version. I would buy parts for the 110 by trying to buy parts for an 80's model ATC
I was told that in the bigger (200 and up) engines, the air cooled engines are Honda and the water cooled are Yamaha.
I wanted to buy a bigger rear sprocket to slow down my 250 for my kids to ride. Honda did not have a sprocket that would fit the Chinese axle hub. My next step is to check and see if there is a Honda axle hub that will fit my axle to allow me more options for sprocket size.
If you want to buy sprockets (since I have already researched this) measure your shaft size and search JTsprockets.com for shaft size. Start with mid 80's Hondas unless you have a watercooled machine.

They also sell these, which are a old Honda CT70. You tell me what engines they are.

By the way, they sell parts and bone yard engines if you need them.
