RIM and tire Issue
#1
I got a new rim changed to the original tire and was fine when i rode around block a few times. Although the psi was kind of high on it around 10PSI. It never got flat before but then when i took it out to the dunes and dropped the PSI to about 2-4 PSI and took it out for a spin some how the tire got flat or something and caused the rim to not be seated on the tire correctly. Did the guy who did it do something wrong?or could it be it has flat but i checked it before and when i got it and i had no problems? Tire is the rear rim on Jetmoto 250 sport. I dont think it had a flat cause i checked it and was ok. But do you have to put the tire at a high PIS so that it seats correctly?

well thats funny same tire hear left rear. Well it looks like it just wasent seated right so i put air to about 10PSI took it to dunes and then dropped it to 2-4PSi without riding them kind of high before dropping them. But when i put air in they stay good but maybe like you said ride them for a but then lower so they get seated corrctly. but when i first got bike i rode them at 25 for a while cause i was riding on street do you recommedn riding at high PSI before riding? How good is that slime ive been thinking about putting some on?

Its almost a must for atv's .especialy fo trail riding, incase you run over thorns it can keep you sealed on smaller punctures ant atv tires face the worst of riding conditions.
I keep my atv between 6 to 10 psi.Seems to be best for me.Is ileagle in this state to ride on the street on atv's but I do in small jots thow

yeah i did ride around 10PSI when i first got it but i noticed i had a tough time riding cause sand here is very soft and then goes to hard at times but most sand is very soft here. Someone said i should ride around 2-4PSI whats do you guys think?

Hi, On my tires the proper preasure is stated to be 14 psi. using much less would cause stability problems and possibly rim leakage. The correct way to solve a traction issue would be to replace them with a more suitable thread pattern, and/or size.
On my rear tire it says to inflate to a maximum 36 psi for seating. Check both rear tires on the outside, since there is one tire for both sides ( no left / right).
Other sand riders should be able to give the advise you need.

In the mx world the only way that we can get away with 2-4 lbs of pressure is to have beadlocks. with this low of pressure the tire will roll the bead open and let unwanted particals in that will release some pressure in time. With out beadlock rims about the lowest I run is 6-7 and seems to hold fine. But what works for one may not for someone else.
