Panther 110 not charging
#1
I posted this in the wrong place I think the first time. We have a Panther 110 and the battery never charges. Is there suppose to be a charger on this thing or should I use a trickle charger?
Great site!

That is the same bike i got my son. It does have an on boaed charging system that should be able to keep a good battery charged. From what i have been told & seen the batteries are the weak link. You should have gotten a 110 volt battery charger with the bike (I got 1 with all 3 bikes) if you got 1 hook it up until the red light goes out & the green light comes on. It should have a good charge then. If it doesn't hold the charge replace the battery & you should be good to go.

There is no shifter on this one. There are 2 wires coming from the left side of the motor, I am assuming that is the magneto. I will put a tester on the battery while it is running to see if there is any charge at all coming out. Thanks for the reply!

No need, you don't have a charge coil under the flywheel. You will need to install a charge coil and rectifier and maybe a new flywheel cause the one you have might not have the magnets for the charging coils in it.
That is why I left the ? at the end cause I was unsure if you have a CVT type motor
