Default Carb problems Suzuki JR80

I'm geeting a gas leak from the bottom bowl hose. I took apart the carb, and the float looks like it's working fine. But gas is leaking from the bottom hose like it's flooded. If I cap the hose, gas comes from the top vent hose. Any help?

Welcome to the forums JFS045.

Did you check and see if there might be a hole in the float itself?

Rebuilt a carb 3 times once. The last time, I just happened to toss the float in a bowl of cleaner, and noticed the air bubbles for the leak.

Also, did you check the actual float level?

thats what happens when your inlet needle gets worn , no matter how hard the float pushes on the needle to stop the flow of gas it still leaks into the bowl and out the overflow tube. you need to inspect the inlet needle/set for wear which usually appears as a groove worn around the rubber part of the needle itself
