2006 Koplin 90cc won't fire. Help please!
#1
It is now spring and I can't get it started. It has always been a bear to get started but now it won't even try to fire. I cranked over with plug out against engine and it has strong spark. The plug is getting wet so their is fuel. I checked compression and it is 118psi. I drained the Mikini-M2A carb from the drain release screw on bottom of bowl and added fresh fuel. I then removed the electrical solenoid valve on the carb. From what I can tell this isn't entergizing at any time. I don't although know what this does. Any suggestions would be greatly great. Thanks in advance.
PS: Ran fine before putting it away before winter. Where is the choke on this thing?

Thanks for the reply. I got is started. Sprayed a little ether in the cylinder and it fired up. Funny thing is I had it up on a lift running it and all of a sudden it died. Tried to restart and was seized up. Couldn't kick it over at all. I then pulled the plug and looked fine. I next pulled off the side clutch cover and tried turning crank manually and no problems. Not siezed up. Some how the kick started gear gets out of position and locks the crank. It did this ones last summer to put managed to break it free again. Anyhow it starts fine. Still don't understand how choke works. It must be electric. It is a M2-A mikuni. Can't frind any information on the carb anywhere. I have heard that this quad is the same as the Unison Desert Cat 90. Do you know if this is true.? I would like to know how to tune the carb up. It is really boggy until it gets the revs up.

To be honest I have heard alot of people having troubles with the electric choke. Most of them bit the bullet and change carbs to the mechanical choke. I would imagine it would be around 100 bucks but not sure. I am certain there is someone one this MB that has done it and can add a little advice.

Ive found the clutches are not backshifting. How to cure it im not sure. Cleaned mine and new belt and still don't backshift so i want to try a longer belt so it rides higher on the secondary and giving it essentialy a lower gear.
