Default Suzuki LT-A50 Oil mix

Hi, I recently bought my son a used LT-A50. I was wondering does anyone know if it is better to disconnect the oil pump and put pre-mix unleaded and oil into the tank. I'm concerned that the pump may fail without me knowing. Any comments?

It's a personal preference thing. We've left ours with oil injection and it's working well after 6+ years of life, including the last 2-3 in our family. I think early oil injection systems didn't work well and earned a bad reputation, but the bugs have been worked out over the years and it seems modern systems work well.
