I just put a new battery in the bike, went to start it and it turned over fine and was about to start, I pressed the starter a second time and I heard a loud bang then I couldn't even turn the lights on and the battery was very hot so I disconnected the terminals. What would cause the battery to overheat like that? I'm guessing a short circuit some where.
