Sounds like you have a stuck rear clutch.

their's an idle adjustment screw on the carbuetor, it's the only screw thats sticking out, simply turn it out, (counter clockwise) until desired idle is set.

But if this hasn't been moved before there seems to be something else that changed. One problem that I have had is the large nut inside the rear clutch backs out and presses agains the housing which does not allow the rear clutch to disengage. just my output.

Default 90cc idle question

Have a yamoto 110cc manual shift. The Carb started running rough and will not idle. I drained the tank and carb bowl & put in new gas. I only see one screw on the carb and that is on the right side and it has a spring behind it. Is this the idle screw?
I tried adjusting this screw until rpm picks up but it still will not idle. Rpm drops off and dies. I removed the trhottle cable from top of carb and checked the metering jet which looks fine. I would think the idle adjust should be a mechanicle stop like on autos. Need help...

yes thats the idle screw, one reason why it won't idle back down is that the thottle cable is binding somewhere, so check out the thottle cable.

hotblooded

the reason why your clutch nut is backing off is because when somebody took the clutch apart they eaither forgot to bend the retainer locking tab back, or forgot altogether to put it back on, the nut retainer is a type of washer that installs on the clutch shaft spines with tabs on it, after you torque the clutch nut then you find one of these tabs that match up to the nut cut out and bend it into the nut cutout, this preventing the nut from backing off. you need to remove the clutch cover and fix this. any other question e-mail me luvmysxs@yahoo.com
