SLA-110KLB transmission
#1
I just picked up an 06 sunl sla-110klb for $200 it had tranny problems, but I thought it would be an easy fix boy I wish that I would of had more time to check up on them be for I got it.It sounds like you guys have had your hands full with the sunls. When I pulled the case off that exposes the chain that goes from the starter to the transmission shaft there was no fluid in it?There was a torn gasket, but no signs that fluid has been in it what if any kind of trans fluid if any goes in there? The motor needs a tune up but runs pretty good to have been sitting for six months, the tranny will engage in all 3 gears and reverse but its like the clutch is bearly engaging, the motor had about half a quart of oil to much so I drained some out and oddly enough the tranny engaged better.Any thoughts would be great it has the semiauto tranny if that helps...

not suppose to be any oil in that area, if there was it would have meant you had a seal leaking. try adjusting the clutch before going any further. on the right side of the engine their's an adjustment stud with a lock nut on it, depending on the engine manufacture it may be exposed or their might be under a oval cover. if their's a cover remove it, now loosen the lock nut, take a flat tip screw driver and turn the adjustment stud counterclock wise until resistance is felt, now back off 1/8 turn. hole the stud with the screw driver while tighting the lock nut. now check if the clutch and transmission works better. if not let me know. my e-mail address is luvmysxs@yahoo.com
