Vbike 150V3 air filter Question
#1
Hi I am new to ATVConnection. I have a vbike 150v3 for my fiance' and I was wondering if there is a better way to run the air filter and a hose to a different location other than a air filter directly on the carb.
On aug 10th she went thru a creek that was only a few inches deep and it got the air filter wet and assumably got a little water in the carb. Well it of course died. We had to try to start it for 15 min finally a little sputtering and then in cleared out and ran fine. I have personally ride a 03 blaster and the air filter is under the seat (really hard to get wet) Any ideas on doing that to the vbike? any suggestion welcome

Welcome to the forum bertc_1999!
I made a sort of air box out of a small coffee can for my Yamoto150.. ran a length of radiator hose to locate it higher up i the frame. I drilled holes in the side of the can so it could breath and even used the plastic lid. I put holes in the lid too.

Hmmm That sounds like it would work. Did it effect the air flow any performance wise and did it need a carb adjust or anything I deffinatley need to do something. Mostly because I want my fiance' to go where i go on my blaster trail riding and not have her be restricted by an air filter on her vbike. Its kinda not fair to her
(Oh thanks for the welcome mywifesquad. You'll see me more on here Im sure.)
