looking for a wiring diagram for a sunl90.trying to fix a no spark issue.

Did you check for power to the cdi. I had a mag go badon a couple different sunl bikes. Use a test light on the wires coming out of the mag housing. Should be 5 or 6. One of the wires going to the cdi will be hot when you crank it over. If not then you have a bad pick-up. If hot to cdi check if its hot to coil. I have some sunl 50-110 wiring diagrams that I can try to email to you.

 

with a test light that is connected to grd. on the battery and touched to the magneto wires when turning over i get a dim lit bulb on the test lite on the white,blu/wht. and the yellow wires. ive got nothing on any of the wires going into the cdi box. i havent checked for voltage which i read should be 40 VOLTS A/C ? ill be checking that tomorrow. can you tell me is the rear safety cut off switch is either normally open or normally closed ? thanks for replying.

sounds like one of the internal coils could be bad. If it has two coils its honda old style one is a lighting coil one is a exciter coil. One of the wires coming off the coilgoes straight to the cdi should be red and black also the blue and white wire goes straight to the cdi also. That is off the pick-up. The green wire should be a ground and the other two go to the voltage regulator. You can check the coils with a ohmmeter to see if their is continuity between the wires and ground. Dont have any specs for that just make sure you have continuity. One of the wires on the kill switch goes back to the ignition switch the other to the ground. Some of the chinese atvs you could bypass the switch with a jumper wire others you could just unplug the harness.
