Default How to adjust Clutch Cable

Ok i got my new clutch cable and clutch handle and before i installed them i checked them out and it all matched fine handle was the same and the clutch cable is the same length but for some reason when i adjust the cable and when i press the clutch in it wont go in gear. Does it have to be in a certain gear when you put it on. Ive already tried everything and i even put back the old cable and didnt want to work and it was working before i put the new cable cause i rode it around the block. Can someone please give me some tips on the best way to adjust cable on Jet 250. Thanks in Advance

Default How to adjust Clutch Cable

I am not real familiar with this model, I can only tell you that I replaced a clutch cable on the Blaster and had to open up the clutch case and adjust it in there first. On the Blaster there is a small screw right in the middle of the clutch with a lock nut on it. Just loosen up the nut and give it a 1/2 turn out and tighten up the nut while holding the srew with the screw driver. Sorry for the mis info if it isn't the same.
