CDI Baja 90
#1
I purchased a baja 90 and the CDI unit is not on it.. I bought one today but I think they gave me the wrong one. Does anyone know if it is supposed to have four prongd or five prongs? I have a connector which contains a wire coming form the coil, a ground wire and a wire coming from the relay.. It has four prongs and the CDI that I purchased has five..
Thanks,
Deven

you have the correct cdi for your 90cc baja, 50-110cc chinese atvs' use a 5 prong cdi unit but should have only 4 wires going into the connector from the wiring harness, i just doubled check this with a couple of differant 110cc quads.

I had a hell of a job finding a cdi here in nz to suit my china atv. The original had only 4 prongs and i got a 5 prong cdi but it blew up as soon as i turned the key. my china atv was new old stock (about 5 years old when i bought it brand new) and the chinese have changed to using a standard 5 prong unit. the new ones just dont match the old ones.
