Just purchased this atv for my son

can anyone tell what year this is from the picture?What does not add up is the tag said it was mfd. 05/98 but when i called the dealership thet said they were not produced in 1998 and the tenth digit in the vin is a L which would make it a 1990.the tag is perfect and untouched so i know the date of 05/98 is correct.
I see one just like this on ebay and it says its a 1999 what gives.please help

Does the 1995 model have suspension? Go back far enough and the Suzuki 50's were solid-frame (like a go cart). I don't know what year the design changed.
