Carb help
#1
I replaced the valve piston in the carb and now it floods really bad. I have an exhaust leak at the cylinder/pipe flange and this thing floods so bad raw fuel is dripping out of the flange. Did I put the carb back together wrong?? I have changed out the needle and seat and it still leaks, what could it be?

I'd make sure you have the throttle slide in the carb the right way round as the top will screw on these with it in wrong. The side with the groove running right down faces the choke. Also check it can slide up and down easily.
You could check the float is moving freely and the float height is correct too.

There is no float adjustment.
Did you remove the seat and clean?
OK, this happens. The fault can be debated but the answer is a on/off valve from a lawn mowershop/autozone for around 3-4 bucks.

You can. But the stock replacement costs alot. A banshee petcock works.
What I'm refering to is a simple on/off valve. You twist it on to run and when done you twist it to shut the fuel off. It goes between tha petcock and the carb.
A inline fuelfilter is also good idea. I see this stuff at the auto zone and is like 3 bucks each.
