amphibious atv (argo or max)

Not much talk about them here so you might try these sites (below). I myself like the 6x6 and wish I could get one here where I live for a good price. You can pick up good used units on the eastern side of the states. They are fun to drive and will go places a 4 wheeler wont. If I were to buy one I would stay with the MAX II or IV. They do make a large wheeled MAX IV and Argo makes a Big Foot. Those would be the ones I would keep a eye out for. A little extra clearance as long as you do not want to run tracks that is. I would also try to get one with a skid plate. They may not go as fast as a quad but they will go over rough terrain faster than a quad and the center of gravity is a lot lower than a quad. Also you will stay dryer too. Good luck ghcoe.

yes i bought i new argo in 2001 the bigfoot 6x6 with winch and skid plated lights and bilge pump hand rails it was great for the first 1 then ran into lots of problems with the d n r and police when ice fishing they said i need life jackets because it is registered as a water craft then during hunting they say i cant use it cause it was over 50 inches wide at least at that time there where not alot of them her in the state of michigan being used so they did not know what laws applied to them helmets nor than one person riding in them now they have pretty much outlawed them exept in the u p and on private land i sold mine and bought another quad but it was great and went through anything never got stuck and even pulled out a jeep once not the smoothest ride i am 300 lbs and with another rider adult it would do about 27 miles an hour plenty fast enough to get to your hunting spot any faster and i might as well drive my truck
