Bajamotorsports extreme 300 (need help)
#1
It started a great day riding with the kids in the woods but then I had a heck of a crash after hitting a stump hidden by grass, flipped over two or three times.ouch
Anyhow I was surprised to see not much damage other than some broken plastic and
a cable/wire attached to the clutch lever . It is not the clutch cable. Does anyone know what this is . Thanks Kevin

Thanks onebigzj,
Not sure where it goes but it appears to be some kind of switch, there is a contact
and a small spring in the end nearest the clutch lever where it broke off then it goes to a wire harness , not sure where from there. I'm sure I can follow it to its end but
I figured I would try the easy way and see if anyone knew. Thanks again

Quite possible it is the safety switch. It did work but only if the quad was in gear, if it was in neutral you didn't have to pull in the clutch. I am still pretty banged up but I started disassembling it this morning to repair plastics. It started and I drove it home after the crash so it must not have been too important.
As for being an off brand: This is just my opinion but this quad is pretty awesome
it came stock with a susuki 300 probably the only thing that influenced me to buy it.
I have had it three years and all I have done to it is take out the external reverse gear box. No loose bolts, no mechanical issues, runs like a beast.

I was not bashing the brand I have two (falcon250 and the red cat 50) and they work awsome for the money. the 250 wasent started all summerand I had to jump it and it poped off quickly!!! I was meening that there is no telling if that switch even worked since day one with alll the ele. problems that the off brands have. might have been a neturl safty switch. just extras!!!!

Hey Onebigzj,
I didn't mean to come off like you were bashing the brand I didn't think that at all.
I was just giving an opinion of my bajamotorsports quad. I have owned many bikes and several quads both name brand and Chinese and from my experience it has been luck of the draw. I have however been more impressed with the baja than any of the other off brands so far. I did just buy my son a typhoon knock-off made by Avanti and so far I am very pleased with it.
