I would try to remove the pump and plug the hole it covers if necessary. I use Torco GP-7 in all my 2 strokes and mix it at 40-1. 3.2ozs of oil per 1 gallon of gas.

I will give that a try and see how it goes. I still need to clean the carb which was the original problem to begin with. Ill update tomorrow after I have had some real time to work on it. Thanks again.

Thanks for the help. After a good cleaning of the carb it fired right up and is running great. Its alot faster than I expected. What kind of gear oil goes in it and how do you tell when it is full. There is only a fill plug there is not any way o gage how much goes in. Do you just fill it up?

I would think maybe there is a bolt you remove on the side of the case while your filling it up. When oil spills out its full. The bolt would most likely be on the right side of the engine(while sitting on the atv). If not I cant imagine it would hold more than 3/4 of a quart. You can more than likely get away with 10wt-40 motor oil in the gear box. If you wanted to overkill the gear oil you could buy a qt of Bel-Ray Gear Oil. It says 80wt but its about the same as 10wt-40. I use it in all my 2 strokes.

I will take a look and see what I can find. The quad is running good but sometimes when you open the throttle all the way up it will start to die. I think it may still have some trash in the fuel system or the carb. I am going to clean the gas tank again and replace every line for the fuel system. Them clean the carb again and see what happens.

Well it was running good for a little while. I can clean the carb fire it up and it will run great for about 10 minutes but when I shut it off and try to start it again it gives all kinds of problems trying to start. I am not sure if something is happening after the engine gets hot. Any suggestions?

these chinese quads often come with bad intakes and make them idle erratically. check to see if your intake is dry rotted. if it is you can buy one on ebay for like 20 bucks
