Anyone have a LT80 on alky?
Anyone modded an LT80 carb to Methanol? I'm sure there's sleeper alky lt80's out there. I can smell Ya. Any hints on jet, needle jet, pilot sizes? Can't help it. Kids have outgrown'em and when I see'em sittin around I wonder what a Moore motor would be like on alcohol [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] I can't afford a Moore motor but I do have a drum of methanol.

Thanks LT80. Might need some jets. Just switched our YZ Blaster to alky and the change was dramatic. One big advantage is that it runs cooler so I can run more compression. Only drawback is purging after use but that's simple after you're set up for it. We're building a alky CR250 for the dunes and after that I want to do one of our LT80s. One LT came with an aftermarket 20mm carb that doesn't seem any better than my stock carb. If I can trade that 20mm for a couple stock carbs I'd have some room for error [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] I'll need to build my own mini powerjet and see if the stock float valve can handle the volume. If it works out maybe I can get you to do me a Alky dune port [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
