LT80 LOng Travel Rear Shock
Has anyone went with this rear shock system yet , how much did it cost was it worh it??
Adaptor Plate and you use a longer shock. Here is what they write about it:
The Suzuki LT 80 Long Travel Rear Suspension Package is a long overdue product. These new housing plates will raise your LT 80 to the next level of performance and quality. These Plates give you the ability to adjust your bearing carrier for chain tension and still retain your skid plate. No more sloppy loose chains because of sprocket changes or worn out chains. *1 1/4" longer wheel base for improved handling and stability *5" of travel with 12 1/2" shock (over 2X stock travel) *1 year warranty* Package includes: Housing Plates, all required nuts, bolts, and spacers. Requires use of 12 1/2" shock with 4 1/2" stroke.

I know its sounds expensive, but when you look at the cost of work stock rear shock and you only get like 2 1/2 of travel, going a bit more for the plate and having a longer wheel base and chain adjustability sounds not too bad, Im looking to see what make of Bike or Quad rear shock would work.

Theproblem is::: The cases on the LT80's break sorta easy in stock form. Extending it is like putting a long pipe on a wrench, sometimes it busts things.
For the dunes, it "may" be a ok idea.
I'd ask if the warranty covers case breakage from the extra stress.
In my stock frame/jig, I measured the stock wheel travel at 5". This what confuses me most about the teixteira stuff. Plus you have a pipe mount issue..Unless you opt for their pipe.
Ppl do make chain adjusters.
