Called for a New Predator 50 today
#1
My dealer told me they were not allowed to sell any at this time due to Federal regulations. They are stuck with a bunch of 50 cc atv's and dirtbikes they are not allowed to sell. Also some in stock parts are not available for sale for those machines. Wake up America and scratch where it itches. I hope this is not the begining of the end to our sport.

Nope, the ban is still in place at this time. It's due to lead in batteries of the quads. I don't know too many kids that are going to go and eat their lead battery. It doesn't taste too good especially with that sulfuric acid sauce that comes with it. The problem is that they are somehow considered to be "toys" and because of that can't have lead. Batteries are of the lead acid type.

The ban was lifted on the 90's. He did mention something about lead in the tire valves and said he couldn't sell me a tire if i needed one. He also mentioned that Honda and KTM were at the forefront fighting this and it should be resolved soon. I guess time will tell.
