Eton TXL50 stalls after getting warm
I have a TXL50 that runs just fine all winter long. Now that it is warming up in the spring it will run for a fair amount of time and then it just loses all power and eventually dies. It will idle until you hit the throttle. Then it dies. You can restart it a few times and then it will not start at all for about 1/2 hour. It has plenty of gas runnign out of the carb drain and spark(found out I have a screwdriver with a cracked handle the hard way) I have a clear fuel filter and it is full of new gas. This is the second year in a row that this has happened. I can clean the carb and it will run for a while and then it does it again. What could be causing this to not want to run in warmer air. Usually it is the other way around with engines. I think it is a 1999 model.

I forgot to mention it is a 2 stroke. I checked the compression - 135. Went through the carb again and found nothing. I talked to a few people for ideas adn was told to hold my hand near the carb throat while it was running to see if any gas comes out with running. I can feel air coming out of the carb and my hand was wet with gas when I increased the rpm's. I am told if I get gas that the skirt on the pisotn is scored and needs to be replaced. I am wondering if this is accurate or if it could be with the reeds being worn out or damaged. Please help, my kids are driving me crazy wanting to ride.
