Default How do i boil my carb Lt/Kfx 80

Ok, i got my carb apart & would like to boil it to make sure it prfectly clean & would like some detailed instructions if possible. Ive googled & googled & cant find anything for this w/ details.

Boil? Never heard of that one. Just rebuild it. A can of carb cleaner should do the trick.

The BEST way to do it is with an ultrasonic cleaning machine. It will get it clean, but they are hard to find in your average shop. Which is too bad, because they are the easiest thing to use. You pull your float bowl, and needles and let it do it's thing.

Default How I boiled mine

It wasn't nothing fancy I just took it apart made sure I didn't include and of the rubber or plastic parts and threw it in a pot of water. Use distilled water though because the first time I did it I just used my tap water and when it dried it left a bunch of mineral deposits on it. It works though I boiled mine and got some stuff out of it that I couldn't even see. I would roll the carb in the pot every few minutes because you can actually see the bubbles coming through all the passages.
